This fine tailgating gentleman just could not beat the dynamic duo of Cambio and Broulette at the PATS/Dolphins game. I guess the tailgating was the only positive that went on that day!

Tailgating Game – Urban Horseshoes

September 12, 2008

Urban Horseshoes

Originally uploaded by tcambio17

Here is our tailgating game Urban Horseshoes. Our version is home made. It is basically a piece of plywood with a hole cut in the middle. The plywood is screwed into a 2′x4′ to give it an incline. We also used carpet scraps to cover the plywood to give a soft landing for the 3″ washers we toss. We play to 11 points:

- 3 points for a hole-in-one
- 2 points for a “leaner” (washer is leaning on the lip of the wood)
- 1 point if the washer stays on the carpet

The competitive juices get going and everbody has a different style. Some use the skip techique, some the frisbee toss. Either way, its a fun game!

Enjoy your tailgating games,

Todd

Guacamole Salsa

September 9, 2008

Guacamole salsa is exactly the same as regular guacamole, except you do not mash the avacados. You just dice them and mix them in softly.

Ingredients:
3 avacados diced
1 medium tomato diced
1/2 cup diced onion
1 serrano or jalapeno pepper minced
1 clove garlic minced
1/4 cup cilantro finely chopped
1/2 of a lime’s juice
season with salt to taste

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together lightly so you do not break apart the avacados. Put in fridge and chill for 1 hour before serving.

Do not make too far in advance or your Guacamole will turn brown like a banana.

It’s Official – Brady is Done in 08′

September 9, 2008

Well, the worst fear of all Patriots fans has happened. I don’t even know what to say. I just hope Cassel can carry the load.

Is Tom Brady Done?

September 8, 2008

The first tailgate of the 2008 football season went well. My concern came with the injury to Brady’s knee. Is Brady done? Is Cassel any good?

I am definately worried about Cassel being the #1 QB, but he did turn in a solid performance.

Is this a repeat of 2001 when Bledsoe went down and Brady came in to lead them to a Super Bowl?

If Brady does not come back this season, I certainly hope so.

Waiting for more info on Brady,

Todd
